Youth Ministry can also be referred to as faith formation, or Continuing Catholic Education, for teens (9th–12th grade). Here at St. Andrew, our main events are a " Youth Mass", each Sunday of the month at 5pm (but is open to anyone of any age) and Sunday evening "Youth Nights" (high school faith formation).
Programs include: Confirmation preparation, service field trips, youth leadership council, bible study, retreats, summer camps and youth conferences. For additional information, please contact the Youth Minister in the office at 281-452-9865 ext 21.
Confirmation
Confirmation preparation typically takes two years, beginning in the 9th grade, with the candidate receiving the sacrament of Confirmation usually in the spring of his/her 10th grade year. Candidates who have not attended CCE since first Communion may need additional time. Candidates wishing to receive Confirmation must have already received the sacrament of Baptism, be registered in the church, and register for/attend CCE classes. Last Youth Mass will be June 16, 2013. We will break for the summer and begin in the fall.
