- “From earliest times, the Church, to which the mission of preaching the gospel and of baptizing was entrusted, has baptized children as well as adults. Our Lord said: “Unless a man is reborn in water and the Holy Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” (John 3:5). The Church has always understood these words to mean that children should not be deprived of baptism, because they are baptized in the faith of the Church. This Faith is proclaimed for them by their parents and godparents, who represent both the local Church and the whole society of saints and believers: “The Church is at once the mother of all and the mother of each.”

Registration
To register a child, 6 years old or younger, for baptism in our church, it is important to meet certain requirements. Please review the baptism requirements and visit our office.
- Parents must bring in the registration form in person with a copy of their child's birth certificate.
- Parents and godparents must take baptism classes.
- - To register for baptism classes please register in the office
- - If parents or godparents are not registered and active members of our parish, a fee of $20 is required for the baptism classes.
Requirements for godparents
- Can not be the parents of the child
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Must have received the 3 sacraments of initiation: Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation
- If the godparents are married, they must be married through the Catholic Church
- If the godparents are single, they must not be living as a couple without being married in the Catholic Church
- “Desde los primeros tiempos, la Iglesia a tenido la misión de predicar el Evangelio y también se encomendó a bautizar. Se bautizan niños al igual que adultos. Nuestro Señor dijo: “Mientras el hombre no nazca de nuevo en agua y en el espíritu santo, no podrá entrar en el reino de Dios.” (Juan 3:5) La Iglesia siempre ha interpretado estas palabras en el sentido de que ninguna criatura sea privada del Bautismo, por que ellos son bautizados en la fe de la Iglesia. Esta fe es proclamada por ellos a través de sus padres y padrinos, cual representa la Iglesia al igual que a toda la sociedad de santos y creyentes: “La Iglesia es la madre de todos y la madre de cada uno.” (San Agustín).
- Incripción
- Para registrar a un niño, 6 años o menor, para el bautismo en nuestra iglesia, es importante cumplir con ciertos requisitos. Por favor, revise los requisitos para el bautismo y visita nuestra oficina.
- Los padres deben entrgar el formulario de registro en persona con una copia del certificado de nacimineto de su niño
- Los padre y padrinos deben tomar clases de bautismo
- - Para inscribirse en las clases de bautismo, por favor regístrese en la oficina
- - Si los padres o padrinos no son miembros registrados y activos en nuestra parroquia, se requiere pagar un cargo de $20 para las clases de bautismo.
- Requisitos para los padrinos
- No pueden ser los padres del niño.
- Deben tener 16 años de edad o más.
- Deben haber recibido los 3 sacramentos de iniciación: Bautismo, Primera Comunión y Confirmación.
- Si los padrinos están casados, deben estar casados por la Iglesia Católica.
- Si los padrinos son solteros, no deben estar viviendo juntos como pareja sin estar casados por la Iglesia Católica.
